Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why work with a mentor?
A: Mentoring offers personalized guidance, emotional support, and real-world tools to help you grow. A mentor provides:
Perspective – Insight from someone who’s been there.
Focus – Support tailored to your unique goals.
Empowerment – Skills to build confidence and self-trust.
Practicality – Tools you can use right away in real life.
Q: How is this different from therapy?
A: Therapy diagnoses and treats mental health conditions. Mentoring focuses on skill-building, emotional growth, and navigating everyday challenges. I offer:
Lived Experience – Real insight from walking this path myself.
DBT-Based Skills – Tools to manage emotions, set boundaries, and communicate clearly.
AI Support – Journaling, transcription, and reflection tools to deepen your learning.
Collaborative Coaching – A supportive space to help you stay grounded, skillful, and confident.
Q: How does AI help in mentoring?
A: I use AI tools to support your progress between sessions:
Journaling – Notice patterns and reflect in real-time.
Transcription – Turn conversations into action steps.
Skill Reinforcement – Get reminders and prompts to stay on track.
Q: Who is this for?
A: Mentoring is for anyone who wants to:
Improve emotional regulation and relationships
Navigate conflict with more confidence
Learn real-life tools to respond instead of react
Work with someone who truly gets it—both personally and professionally
